Empowering our African future
The 7th Africa Shared Value Leadership Summit will be held in Nairobi on October 24-25, 2024. Organized by the Shared Value Africa Initiative and centered on “Empowering Africa’s Future,” it will address key topics like economic growth and gender equality, aligning with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
As the Shared Value Africa Initiative and the driving force behind advocating for the implementation of Shared Value principles across the African continent, we are excited to announce the forthcoming 7th edition of the Africa Shared Value Leadership Summit (ASVLS). This remarkable event is scheduled to take place in Nairobi, Kenya on October 24th and 25th, 2024. Once again, we will bring together influential leaders from various corners of the continent, creating a dynamic platform for insightful discussions and strategic collaborations.
In my personal view, Africa plays a pivotal role in shaping the global future. Yet, in order to consciously and purposefully realise this potential, our efforts must focus on empowering not only our populace but, more specifically, our youth and women. This summit will revolve around the overarching theme of “Empowering Africa’s Future“. As responsible citizens of this beautiful continent, we bear the collective responsibility to drive positive change and work collaboratively. Our shared vision should be to unite and empower Africa, transcending any prejudices or biases.
The 2 days of the summit will spot light the following key areas:
- Economic growth
- Climate Action Collaboration
- Inclusive Health
- Advancing Gender Equality
- Technology as an enabler
Guided by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we will concentrate on how businesses can effectively tackle societal challenges through their operations. The summit’s objective is to showcase successes and acknowledge challenges, inspiring our audience and fostering learning opportunities.
Notably, the theme of Advancing Gender Equality, at the summit, aligns seamlessly with the ongoing efforts of SVAI and the #Itsnotok movement on advocating for Gender Equality in the workplace. This has led to the release of the first phase of our Gender Equality Implementation Guide for the private sector, alongside a free management Gender Equality Self -Assessment Tool on August 18th at the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in South Africa.
The Shift Impact Africa Group strongly advocates that accelerating Gender Equality across the African landscape could be the transformative economic catalyst our continent requires. Consistently, research findings and economic projections have underscored that empowering women in the workplace on par with men can significantly expedite profitability and cultivate a more sustainable future.
The 2024 Africa Shared Value Leadership Summit will undoubtedly provide an invaluable networking platform, fostering connections with like-minded individuals who prioritise human and African development as central tenets of progress.
Please feel free to contact us should you wish to become one of our sponsors or a speaker at the 2024 Africa Shared Value Leadership Summit.
