The initiative offers participating Entrepreneur Support Organisations (ESOs) access to valuable research, recognition, and networking opportunities. |

ACTION FOR WOMEN'S HEALTH |
|
Joy Ruwodo, lead of the Shared Value Africa Gender Equality Unit, discusses the pervasive issue of gender-based violence and harassment in South Africa. Highlighting that one in three women experience workplace harassment, she emphasises the detrimental effects on women's mental and physical health, economic stability, and overall safety. The unit adopts a holistic approach to tackle these challenges through training programmes aimed at recognising and preventing violence. Additionally, their initiatives include research to formulate effective strategies and a campaign called #ITSNOTOK to raise awareness and encourage community dialogue about harmful norms. |
