      Simba is passionate about entrepreneurship, responsible business, sustainable development and renewable energy. Simba’s areas of experience and exposure on matters of environmental, social and governance (ESG) and sustainable development revolve around how business and entrepreneurship are inextricably tied to the social and economic health of the environments they operate in. This ranges from internal policies, public policies to their products and services. To this end, he has played several advisory roles as part of expert working groups on ESG, renewable energy, innovation, entrepreneurship and SME development for projects run by the African Union Commission, European Union, United Nations Zimbabwe, the International Labour Organisation and the World Health Organisation’s Africa Regions.

      Simba is also an experienced corporate governance practitioner, leader and company director who has served on diverse boards-including: Stanbic Bank Zimbabwe Limited; Petrotrade (Private) Limited under the Ministry of Energy & Power Development, Petrotrade is the Government of Zimbabwe’s petroleum trading company responsible for downstream activities; The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, a national government organisation formed by an Act of Parliament: The tourism Act Chapter 14:20 of 1996 with a mandate for developing, managing, promoting and marketing Zimbabwe as a tourist destination in both the local and international markets; and  Shift Impact Africa, a pan African ESG and Shared Value consulting firm based in South Africa.

      Simba has been awarded the prestigious Archbishop Desmond Tutu Fellowship by the African Leadership Institute and Oxford University’s Said Business School. He is an alumni of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Entrepreneurship for the 2018 – 2019 term. In both 2018 and 2016, he was named one of Africa’s 30 most promising and inspirational young entrepreneurs in Africa by Forbes Magazine. He has also been recognised by the Africa. In 2020 and 2018, the Institut Choiseul of France named Simba one of Africa’s 200 economic leaders of tomorrow. His work is featured in Oxford University Press textbook; Introduction to Business Management 11th Edition by Oxford University Press.
